First of all, no where near as creepy as the Mickey and Minnie from the same pattern. Dare I say, he is even cute!
Just like that packet, I chose to make him from a corduroy which meant paying careful attention to the direction of the fabric as I cut out all the pattern pieces. I made the ears and tail from a single piece of leather which meant I didn’t have to follow the instructions for sewing together the pieces of fabric for those parts.
I left off some of the embroidery details again such as the eyebrows because I thought they made him look cuter. I also left out the wire armature because I wad gifting him to a child and didn’t want to risk it poking through and stabbing them. I found that stuffing him densely made him able to stand on his own anyway.
I liked this pattern a lot better than the Mickey and Minnie. I found there were a lot less fiddly/tight to sew pieces. The only part I really struggled with was joining the bottom part of his jaw. I would happilyโmake this very good boy again.
