Once again, I must tell you that this is in no way a set in stone list. This is an ‘if all things go perfectly to plan, I’d love to make all of these this year’ list. I’m sure new films will come out that I’ll fall in love with the costume department…..
Mirana – The White Queen | Alice in Wonderland
After making my Alice gown last year, I rediscovered my love for all of the costumes in the film, especially Mirana’s. As Christmas is usually a great time to buy snowflake related fabrics, I’ve already started hoarding stuff for this one. It will most likely be my first costume of the year.

Tarrant Hightopp – The Mad Hatter | Alice in Wonderland
I love the vintage elements of this costume and when I was working on Alice, I started collecting vintage wooden thread spools to turn in to his belt. I have quite the collection so far. This will just be a fun matching costume for my husband when I feel like wearing either Alice or the White Queen.
Bert + Mary Poppins – Jolly Holiday | Mary Poppins
Something fun, quick and Disney related. I’ve been meaning to remake Mary for a while and have collected both base hats for these costumes.
Aiming for Sandbox.

Valerie | Pokemon X and Y
With Pokemon Legends A-Z coming out this year I wanted to make my favorite gym leader from X and Y for the Overload cosplay competition. I’m also hoping to make a life-size Sylveon to go with it.
Babydoll – Escape | Sucker Punch
I’ve admired this one for years and still have never got round to making it. Unlike a certain other Babydoll costume….

Babydoll – Dream | Sucker Punch
Look, I know I’ve made this costume 7(?) times at this point but I never even wore the last three I made, so do they really count? Plus I want to film the making of for my YouTube now that that is a thing.
Wednesday – Rave’N | Wednesday
Speaking of remaking things just to put the making of on my YouTube, Wednesday’s dress. I actually did film the original dress that I made but I when I upgraded my computer, I lost the editable footage (same with the Enid dress). So I want to make it again, film it and upload it (with the Enid footage I still have) because the dress is ICONIC. I also plan to make the next one from silk organza because I HATED how the polyester organza felt.
Aiming for Halloween.

USO Girl | Captain America – The First Avenger
Literally the only Marvel costume I like, that and the Captain America costume that he wears on stage with them (watch this space). I was messing about on the internet one day and came across a great match for the blue sequin fabric that some of them have their collars and hats made from, then the next day, found a perfect sewing pattern at the second hand store to make the halter necked/princess seamed bodices from. It was very much a sign.
Aiming for July 4th but honestly, will most likely have it done much earlier.
Padme Amidala – Picnic Gown | Attack of the Clones
I’ve been working on and off on this gown for the past two years now and it’s about time I sit down and finish it once and for all. I’m still debating whether or not to use a pre-embroided fabric for the overlay and whether to hand sew the corset embroidery or do it by machine.
Aiming for May 4th.

Siren Gem | Tron Legacy
There’s a new Tron film coming out this year and el wire and such has become a lot cheaper in the decade since this film came out. Gem has been on my to-do list since forever at this point.
Ken – Mojo Dojo | Barbie Movie
I really, really just want to make this. Possibly aiming for Springgeddon.

Anastasia + Drizella – Disneyland | Cinderella
And for the last part of the year I wanted to make these to lovely ladies. Anna and I had such a blast meeting them at Disneyland this year we immediately thought it would be fun to dress up as them to go to a con back home.
Aiming for Springgeddon.
I’m also contemplating adding some sort of Wicked costume to celebrate part two coming out in November but I’ll see how I get on with everything else first.
Let me know which you’re most looking forward to seeing completed!
