First things first, you may have noticed that quite a few of these plans are carry overs from 2023. Look I couldn’t have anticipated the Barbie Movie coming out and having so many magical costumes in it that would end up pushing every other plan out of my brain for the year….
Ken – Mojo Dojo | Barbie Movie
Speaking of Barbie, I adore this coat and have already brought the pattern from Silver Rox and am currently searching for the right faux fur which is proving a little difficult. Aiming to have it made for Cam for Wintergeddon.
Harley Quinn – Nightclub Dress | Suicide Squad
Hello, yes, this is the first carry over plan from 2023. I still have everything I need to start her and if Sandbox Fandom Festival goes ahead in 2024 I have a sneaky little thing prepared for this costume.
Sakura – Red Dress | Cardcaptors
And the second carry over costume from 2023. I will definitely be attending Overload in 2024 now that I don’t have a friends wedding to attended like I did this year. So that means this dress I started in 2018 will finally get finished and I hope to enter her in the competition.
Mirabel | Encanto
This one started off as a suggestion for Aleena when she was trying to figure out a new Disney character to make for next year. I suggested Mirabel because I like her before it became painfully obvious that Aleena is the most Isabella coded person you’ll ever meet.
I’m aiming to have this made for Springeddon. It will be my second half of the year big ol time consuming project (all that embroidery).
Padme + Anakin – Refugee | Attack of the Clones
Toward the end of this year I started collecting Padme pieces that were released at Galaxy’s Edge in the Disney Parks. The first of which being this headdress.
No set con for either of these yet, they’ll just be a “they get made when I have a spare week that needs filling” project.
Padme – Tatooine | Attack of the Clones
And the second Padme piece I acquired from Galaxy’s Edge is the Cape that Padme wears when she visits Tatooine with Anakin.
I’m thinking this will be a good costume for Wintergeddon because the cape is so warm and wouldn’t it be nice to be dressed weather appropriately at a convention for once?
Padme – Picnic | Attack of the Clones
The first of my ‘big’ probably going to take me 6 months to make projects. I don’t think the dress/corset itself will be all that hard to make but the vine embroidery on the skirt/blouse is where most of my time will be taken up on this one.
Aiming for Wintergeddon.
Anakin | Revenge of the Sith
Obviously I need an Anakin to go along with all the Padmes I’m making next year. You’re also probably thinking making an Attack of the Clones Anakin would make the most sense seeing as that’s where all my Padmes are from but no. I like the hair from ROTS much better.
Obi Wan Kenobi | Attack of the Clones
And what’s an Ani without his Obi? Purely making this because I want the lightsaber and it will be nice for Cameron to have a matching costume choice if he doesn’t feel like shaving. Plus? I can lend it to friends too and the three of us can all match!
Arwen | The Lord of the Rings
I have a book character themed birthday to go to in January and some other possible, related to the character events that I maaayyyyyy be attending later in the year. We’ll see….
It’s also criminal that I’ve not done a Lord of the Rings costume yet. Being a Kiwi and all.
Plus it’s the Return of the Kings 20th anniversary this year. Stars are aligning and this costume must be made.
Rey | Star Wars
I am undecided on what Rey I’m going to make, I honestly just want an excuse to buy another lightsaber and to try and make a BB-8.
This will be a project for Springeddon.
