First of all the I’m really going to try my hardest to get all these done costumes. My Top priorities. A conservative amount, if you will.
The White Queen | Alice in Wonderland
The first costume on this list, is in fact a carry on from the previous year. She was the first one I started last year and I got as far as making all the undergarments before I ended up much busier than anticipated and had to shelve her in order to get my competition piece finished in time for Overload.
Vanellope von Schweetz | Wreck it Ralph
I wanted to make her car. That’s literally it.
Ariel | The Little Mermaid 2023
I got a smocking machine at a secondhand fabric market last year and am dying to use it. As you can see, there’s smoking galore on this version of Ariel. And I’m sure you all know by now about my need to have all the live action Princess dresses. This would have been my project for Sandbox if it were happening, but now it won’t have a deadline which makes it easier for me!
Padme Amidala – Picnic Gown | Star Wars – Attack of the Clones
I found a bunch of large tambour embroidery hoops at the second hand stores last year, plus I’ve been collecting the bits and pieces for this for the last four or so years now. It’s about time I actually make it don’t you think?
And now it’s time for the if I have the time I’d love to have a go at these ones section of my costume plans.
Chii – Chobits
If and that’s a big IF, I make it to Overload this year, this is my plan for it. Chobits was my first anime and manga and I’ve loved it for years. It’s about time I made something of Chii’s from it.
Effie Trinket | The Hunger Games
I would love to make some sort of Effie for this year. Especially with Sunrise on the Reaping coming out towards the end. This one seems simple enough…
Harley Quinn – Margot Robbie
I need to make some sort of Harley but I can’t decide which one I want to do most at this point. Let me know which is your favourite?
And that’s it for this year. I’m sure something else will come along like it usually does. I’m definitely expecting to want to make something from the new Hunger Games, but we’ll see when it comes out!
