I know I’m a couple days late with this post this week but for good reason! I was celebrating my friend’s engagement down in Auckland and as a result, I was away for a few days.
I only really did two things of note this week. The first of which was starting a Rey commission for said friend who’s party I was attending. I got pretty far through it and only really have decorative bits and pieces left to do. Oh and all the leather bits, but that’s a job for this week.

And I finally got my new-to-me Bella Swan prom dress costume. Turns out it was from the same lady who sold me the wedding dress replica two years ago as well. I was so excited to have it that I wore it to my friends engagement party on the weekend as I thought my normal black attire wardrobe would be a bit to morbid for the occasion.

Now I’m on the look out for grey tights and a moon boot at the second hand stores. (I did actually find a moon boot the day before I left for Auckland but they were selling it for $30 which was far more than I was willing to pay for it.)
I won a bunch of neat duvet covers on Trademe as well this week so I need to get back in to the habit of actually turning them in to dresses and not hoarding them indefinitely. I think my favourite has to be the vintage 90s Ariel one. I may be making something for myself from that one.

Lastly, another awesome Trademe find was a vintage Donald Duck and Daisy Simplicity sewing pattern that I got to go with my Mickey and Minnie one. They’re not the same era as the Mickey and Minnie one, but at $2 I couldn’t pass it up!

Till next week,
