This dress was made from a duvet I purchased about four years ago. When I saw it in the op shop I instantly fell in love with its blatantly 90s print and knew I had to have it.

I also knew that I wanted to try and make a button-up shirt dress with it. I found the perfect pattern in Burdas 6520. Usually I try and stay away from Burda patterns as I tend to find them unnecessarily complicated but this one was relatively easy to follow!

The only thing that struck me as odd about the pattern was that it only has one pocket. It’s because of the side zip on one side but I just thought it interesting that they even included one pocket.

I managed to find some really cute heart shaped buttons at an emporium that I thought suited the print perfectly and added a touch of whimsy.

All in all, I’m happy with the results and will definitely see myself making this dress again in the future!
