Fairy Godmother | Cinderella
Made for : Armageddon Expo in 2016
Background : I had just purchased my Cinderella gown and wanted to make my mum the Fairy Godmother to match.

construction
Wig : Purchased from Wig Is Fashion. Though it looks like this style is no longer carried. All I did was style the pre existing curls.
Bodice : I made it exactly as the Simplicity pattern 1026 called for. It was made from a few fabrics layered on top of each other. A base layer of satin, then the organza, then the embroided tulle.
The sleeves and collar were made from layered net in pink and silver. The collar had boning to help keep it upright but it didn’t work.
I added a ruffled lace to the neckline, sewed star buttons to the front and then ruined everything by trying to draw on the embroidery with a metallic marker. I wish I had just left it blank.
Skirt : Was literally just the skirt/hoop skirt from my Sarah Williams costume. Initially I toyed with the idea of adding the side puffs, but I couldn’t figure out how to make them work so in the end, I left them off.
